Mr Solana said he supported Saudi efforts to end the crisis, which has seen massive Hezbollah-led protests against Lebanon's Western-backed government.
Mr Solana, who flew to Riyadh from Beirut, is due to hold talks on the Lebanese crisis with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus on Wednesday.
