Officer denies stealing make-up

A senior Nottinghamshire police officer is to go on trial accused of stealing make-up from a Tesco store.

Ch Insp Kim Molloy, 44, denied a charge of theft at Mansfield Magistrates' Court.

The court heard she is accused of stealing Max Factor make-up worth £12.72 from the store in Top Valley, Nottingham, on 24 November 2009.

Ms Molloy, who is currently suspended from the force, will stand trial at Nottingham Crown Court next month.

She was given unconditional bail.
