Woman hurt in hammer gang attack

A woman has been taken to hospital after a masked gang armed with hammers attacked a group of people at a house in Bangor, County Down.

At about 0445 GMT on Sunday, four masked men entered the property at Beechwood Gardens.

The men, who were armed with hammers, assaulted a number of people.

One woman was taken to hospital but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Three men also sustained minor injuries.
