Police have issued a warning after a convicted robber absconded from Prescoed open prison in Monmouthshire. A 29-year-old prisoner who absconded from an open jail in Monmouthshire is back in custody.

Gwent Police have been searching for Mander overnight. They said Mander was a "potential risk" and advised members of the public not to approach him. Gwent Police said Mander, 29, was rearrested in the force's area on Saturday morning.
He is described as white, 5 ft 10 in tall, of slim build, with blue eyes, with short fair and ginger hair. Police said Mander was convicted of robbery in June 2003 at Leicester Crown Court.
He also has a tattoo of a dagger through a rose on his right forearm and the letters "LCFC" tattooed on his left forearm. Last year, several prisoners absconded from the jail, including child rapists John Elms and Martin Aspinall, and murderer Lee Dewhurst.
Police said Mander was convicted of robbery in June 2003 at Leicester Crown Court. He is not a registered sex offender. They were later found and returned to prison.
