Meat firm enters administration Jobs saved at Fermanagh meat firm

A meat processing company in County Fermanagh has gone into administration. More than 100 jobs at a meat processing company in County Fermanagh have been secured.
Tenderlean, which is owned by the McCaffrey family, operates from a modern processing plant in Derrylin. Tenderlean Meats in Derrylin, which went into administration on Friday has been bought out by a new company. It will now trade as Tenderlean Limited.
Last year the company said it employed more than 100 people. Its butcher's shop in Enniskillen closed last week. A spokesman for the new company said "all jobs had been saved through the purchase".
Mark McCaffrey, the firm's managing director, said the business is continuing to trade and is in the process of being restructured. He said workers from the Tenderlean shop in Enniskillen would be moving to new roles in the Derrylin factory.
The firm provides beef, lamb and chicken products to leading food retailers and had also diversified into pizzas. The spokesman said the new company was "in the process of securing new contracts".
