Parents of children at a County Antrim primary school destroyed in an arson attack last July have raised concerns that rebuilding will not go ahead.

Pupils at Whitehouse Primary School in Newtownabbey have spent this school year in temporary classrooms at Newtownabbey Community High School.

Parents say government money to pay for the rebuilding has been withdrawn.

The Department of Education said available funds had been "significantly reduced" since the plans were made.

"As a result, there is less scope for major new capital projects to start during 2010 and the relative priority of Whitehouse will need to be judged in relation to other capital priorities," it said in a statement.
