He says the incentive to work a day or two a week after having a child is "very weak" because having a part-time job can mean the loss of tax credits or benefits. He didn't agree with "bribes" in the tax system, saying he and his wife married for love and not for £3 a week, referring to the Tories' proposed tax benefits for some married couples.
