    class="type-12"> 1718: The Liberal Democrats received £100,000 more in donations in the second week of the election campaign than they did in the first, says the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg. They were given £120,000, as opposed to £20,000 in week one, which preceded the first televised prime minsterial debate. The Conservatives received a total of £2.2m in the second week (up on £1.45m), while Labour were given just under £1.5m (up from £780,000).
