Version 0 of 1.

A woman has told a court how despite her refusal of sex, she was raped twice by a Cardiff man whose daughter was murdered in Thailand.

Giving evidence via video link at Cardiff Crown Court, the woman said Ian Horton, 56, raped her even though she told him "no".

She told the jury: "I didn't want to have sex."

Ian Horton, whose daughter Katherine was raped and murdered in Thailand, denies two counts of rape.

The woman told the jury how the chartered accountant carried out two sex attacks on her last year.

She said: "The second time I said 'no'. The first time I can't remember. Probably I said 'no' - it was very fast.

"I didn't want to have sex. He pulled down my trousers but there was nothing I could do.

"I tried to push him, he was heavy and he pinned me down and just did what he did."

Ieuan Bennett, prosecuting, said: "At what point did you say no to him?"

She said: "When he took off my clothes, I think. I didn't want to have sex."

Mr Bennett asked: "As far as you were concerned when you said that to him, did he realise you didn't want to have sexual intercourse with him?"

"Yes," she replied.

Asked why she did not go to the police after the incident, she said: "I did not think they would believe me."

The jury heard the woman later went to the police after speaking to a solicitor.

The court has heard how Mr Horton had suffered "difficulties" since his daughter Katherine, 21, was raped and killed by two fishermen on New Year's Day 2006 while backpacking on the island of Koh Samui.

She was beaten, raped and left to drown by the fishermen Bualoi Posit and Wichai Somkhaoyai.

They were sentenced to death, but later commuted to life imprisonment, for the attack.

At the opening of Mr Horton's trial on Wednesday, the court heard he "seemed to lose his temper" after the grief of his daughter's death.

The trial continues.
