A man and a woman have been killed in a road accident in the Highlands on Saturday evening. A woman killed in a road accident in the Highlands on Saturday afternoon has been identified as 44-year-old Elizabeth Hall, from Falkirk.
Northern Constabulary said two vehicles collided at about 1800 GMT on the A9 Inverness-Perth road, just north of its junction with the B889 Dalwhinnie road. Police have not yet identified a male who also died when two vehicles collided at about 1800 GMT on the A9 Inverness to Perth road.
A spokesman for the force said: "Two persons - one male and one female - are confirmed as deceased as a result of this accident." Northern Constabulary said the incident happened just north of its junction with the B889 Dalwhinnie road.
