School man quizzed over pictures

A member of staff at a Belfast grammar school has been questioned about the alleged possession of indecent images of children, the BBC has learned.

The 59-year-old man, who works at Grosvenor Grammar in Castlereagh, was arrested earlier this month.

It is believed he has been questioned about the alleged possession of and making of indecent images of children.

A spokesman for the school confirmed that a staff member had been arrested and questioned.

After consultation with the Belfast Education and Library Board the man was put on precautionary suspension.

Police have confirmed a 59-year-old man was arrested earlier this month as part of an investigation into serious crime.

He has not been charged and was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
