Detectives in Surrey believe David Baxendale is living in Spain

Police investigating the murder of a woman in Surrey are seeking a man who may be able to help their enquiries.

The body of 38-year-old Sarah Thomas was found at a property in High Street, Nutfield, on 10 May.

A post-mortem examination found the mother-of-three suffered injuries which included a stab wound to the neck.

Detectives want to speak to David Baxendale, 39, who has links to the Redhill and Tadworth areas but is now believed to be in Spain.

He is known to have caught a ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo, in France, on the evening of 11 May.

He is described as white, about 5ft 7in tall, is slim with blue eyes and may walk with a limp.

He is clean shaven with neatly groomed light brown hair although his appearance may have recently changed.

He also has a scar on his scalp, tribal tattoos on each shoulder, a dragon tattoo on his right upper arm and a scorpion tattoo on the left side of his chest.

Ms Thomas lived alone at the property where her body was found following a 999 call shortly after 1800 BST.

A kitchen knife was recovered by police following extensive searches of the local area.
