Police have charged a man with murder following Ms Wasko's death

A man has been charged with murdering a woman and with the attempted murder of an 11-year-old boy who is believed to be her son.

The body of Monika Wasko, 29, from Poland, was found at Cae Hir, Flint, and the boy found seriously injured.

Krystian Krysztof Rozek, who is also charged with attempting to murder a 33-year-old man of the same address, will appear before Mold magistrates.

A preliminary cause of death was given as a single stab wound to the chest.
