A 16-year-old girl and 19-year-old man have died after their car crashed into a lake in Ceredigion. A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a car crashed into a lake in the early hours, killing two teenagers.
Two other young people were freed and another escaped after the car plunged down a 20ft (6m) embankment at Ponterwyd near Aberystwyth at 0030 BST. An inquest has been opened on Anwen Chloe Lane Busby, 16, of Penparcau, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. A 19-year-old man who also died has not been named.
The vehicle became submerged in 4ft (1.2m) of water, said Dyfed-Powys Police. The car plunged down a 20ft (6m) embankment off the A44 at Ponterwyd, Ceredigion, at 0030 BST.
