High winds and torrential rain have caused damage and disruption in the UK. A woman who was impaled on a branch when a falling tree hit her car has died, as the UK faces more disruption after 24 hours of severe weather.
The worst hit areas have been northern England, north Wales and Northern Ireland with gusts of 80mph (129km/h). Police said the woman's car crashed on the outskirts of Wakefield in West Yorkshire on Thursday evening.
