"It's going to be a pretty hot weekend everywhere really - it'll certainly be the warmest we've seen this year," said forecaster Brendan Jones of MeteoGroup UK. Daniel Corbett of the BBC Weather Centre said: "We're going to see 25C and maybe the odd isolated place seeing 26C.
"Today, there may be a fair bit of cloud around, but the sunshine will come through and that'll be country-wide." "That means it's definitely going to be the warmest weekend so far this year."
He said the highest temperatures would be in London. But he added it was unlikely the record April temperature would be beaten.

Mr Corbett said the temperatures would cool from Sunday evening as the warm, stable air drifted eastwards, but temperatures on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday would be in the late teens - several degrees higher than the April average.
