| An entire building, beautifully designed to perfectly capture a single moment in time... now why, 5000 years later, couldn't we have designed something equally brilliant for the Millenium Dome, to mark the millenium, instead of a large tent that looks like a clock? | @Deb : Bryn Celli Du on Anglesey is aligned with the rising sun at the summer solstice, Stonehenge is aligned with both the rising at the summer solstice and the setting at the winter solstice. Maes Howe is aligned with the setting at the winter solstice.So, maybe, Newgrange is unique in the fact that it is the only one aligned with winter sunrise?Anyone? A unique day in a unique place? | |
