  • This comment is awaiting moderation. href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/moderation.shtml#appear" target="_blank">Explain. @Dick-B: I'm not sure that makes it better - but worst - the following Labour government clearly didn't overhaul the expenditure of the MOD. Moral of the story - any incoming government should always scrutinise every penny of the previous government, and never trust any procurement officer - there seem to be plenty who take backhanders when awarding large contracts.

There is a known prcivity within Goverment Purchasinbg that anything offered at a cheap price "is not worth the money". They therefore consoder that by purchasing an expensive item the Government are getting items 'fit for purpose'. This characterisic does not take into account that @rip-Off' B ritain is a National disease!
