A woman has been taken to hospital after being attacked by two dogs in County Down. A woman has sustained an arm injury in an attack by two dogs in County Down.
The attack happened at Beechfield Drive, Donaghadee shortly before 0900 BST as the woman was putting her grandchildren into a car. The attack happened at Beechfield Drive, Donaghadee, as Alison Carruth was picking up four children, all under 12, including her two grandchildren.
The woman sustained arm injuries in the attack. The dog warden is investigating the incident. A dog jumped into her car where two children were sitting. Alison tried to get them out, but the dogs bit her.
It is understood one of the dogs was a part Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The other dog has not yet been traced. The other dog tried to get into the house. Both dogs are thought to be part Staffordshire Bull Terrier. An owner of one of the dogs has been traced.
He is to be questioned next week. The other dog has not yet been found.
The dog warden is investigating the incident.
