A body found in Fife over the weekend has been formally identified as that of a 10-year-old boy who had been missing. The family of a 10-year-old boy whose body was found by police divers have paid tribute to their "cheeky wee boy".

Police, firefighters, dogs, the RAF, coastguards, International Rescue and dive teams were involved in the search. A statement released by his family on Monday also thanked everyone involved in the search for Steven.
Steven was last seen in the area of Methil Dam at about 1930 BST on Saturday. The statement, issued through Fife Police, said the family particularly appreciated the help of members of the public who volunteered to look for the schoolboy at the weekend.
It said: "Steven was a very happy, cheeky wee boy and always looked for adventure.
"He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and in particular by his older brother Mark, 11, and younger sister Clare, eight."
Requested privacy
Funeral arrangements have yet to be made but the service is likely to take place in the family's home town of Perth.
The family have requested privacy to allow them to grieve for Steven in peace.
The search for Steven involved police, firefighters, dog teams, the RAF, coastguards, International Rescue and divers.
He had last been seen in the area of Methil Dam at about 1930 BST on Saturday and his body was formally identified on Monday after being found on Sunday afternoon.
