A man has been shot dead and another has been injured in Milton Keynes, police have said. A 19-year-old man has been killed and an 18-year-old critically injured in a shooting in Milton Keynes.

Police said a large area of the estate had been sealed off. Police said the 18-year-old had been shot in the head and was under an armed guard in Milton Keynes General Hospital "for his own protection".
Det Supt Rob Mason, from Thames Valley Police, moved to reassure residents and said there was a large police presence in the area. It is believed the two victims were friends, but police do not know if the offender was known to them.
"Clearly we are at the very early stages of our investigation into this incident," he said. Det Supt Rob Mason said: "We are obviously still at a very early stage of this investigation.
"A large area of Fishermead is currently sealed off while officers carry out investigations and protect the scene. "I realise that there is a lot of concern in the community as well as a lot of speculation about the reasons behind this incident.
"I can confirm that one man has died from his injuries and that another has been injured in the incident. "We are still trying to establish the facts and cannot be drawn on rumours and speculation.
"I appreciate that residents will feel concerned about this incident. However, there is a large and highly visible police presence in the area. "We have a large and highly visible police presence in the area which should provide some reassurance to the community at this difficult time.
"I also appreciate that there will be a lot of rumour and intrigue in the community. However, we are at the very early stages of this investigation and as such cannot speculate on possible reasons for the attack. "I continue to urge anyone who has any information about this incident to contact police urgently."
