Police investigating the shooting of a five-year-old girl in south London have released CCTV images of several witnesses they want to trace.

They were in or near Stockwell Food and Wine at about 2115 GMT on 29 March when Thusha Kamaleswaran was shot.

She was in the shop with her family when a gunman opened fire. Roshan Selvakumar, 35, was also injured.

Detectives said the people they wanted to trace were "important witnesses" but were not suspects.

It has been reported that Thusha may never walk again after her spine was damaged by the bullet, leaving her paralysed from the waist down.

The CCTV images released include one of a man wearing a hooded top, who was seen at the shop at the time of the shooting and a man who was in the shop shortly before the incident.

A teenage girl, an elderly man and a group of youths were also in the area at the time of the incident.

Det Ch Insp Tony Boughton said: "We would like to speak to all of these people, or anyone who knows who they are, as we believe they might have crucial information that we need as to what happened that night."

Nathaniel Grant, 20, of Camberwell New Road, Camberwell; Kazeem Kolawoli, 18, of Black Prince Road, Lambeth; and Anthony McCalla, 19, of Oakdale Road, Streatham, have been charged with attempted murder.
