Denbighshire council's lifeguard team has issued a warning to parents after a child went missing near a Prestatyn beach.

The team launched a search and requested back-up from Rhyl coastguards and RNLI lifeboat.

However, the five-year-old boy from Greater Manchester was found shortly after and was reunited with his family.

Ian Olson, coastal facilities officer, said it highlighted the need to report missing children quickly.
