Ian Guy, watch manager at Falmouth Coastguard station, said a group of 12 scouts originally got into trouble when water cut off their path.
He said: "They decided to make their way up the steep slope which can be a little precarious due to the undergrowth and loose debris underfoot.
"Four managed to get to safety but the eight remaining had to be rescued by the coastguard rescue officers utilising their cliff rescue equipment.
"They were assisted by the crew of the RNLI lifeboats on scene which illuminated the area with search lights.
The group were checked over by ambulance staff and none were injured. |
