Harewood triple fatal crash included mum and daughter

Three women who died when their car was in collision with a lorry near Leeds included a mother and daughter.

The driver, Jean Price, 58 and front seat passenger Ethel Stenhouse, 82, were mother and daughter from Sunderland. Both died at the scene.

Back seat passenger Honor Burrell, 84, also from Sunderland, was taken to hospital but later died.

The crash happened at the junction of Arthington Lane and Weardley Lane, near Harewood, on Wednesday evening.

The lorry driver was not injured.

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and especially want to trace the female driver of a 4x4 which was seen turning into Weardley Lane from Arthington Lane moments before the crash.
