Wanted man, 23, seriously injured in Cornwall crash

A 23-year-old man has been airlifted to Plymouth's Derriford Hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Cornwall.

The collision between two vehicles happened in St Dennis on Saturday.

Police said the injured man was being sought in connection with an assault in the village which left a woman with a suspected fractured skull.

Another man has been arrested and bailed in connection with the assault on Saturday, police said.

The 22-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

The crash involved a Ford Focus car and a Land Rover on Gothers Road at about 14:30 BST.

The driver of the Ford Focus was the man police were looking for.

A police spokesperson said he had serious injuries to his arm and head.
