A British man reportedly on honeymoon has died in the Seychelles after what locals said was a shark attack. A UK man has died in a shark attack while on honeymoon in the Seychelles.

Police said he was killed off Anse Lazio beach, on the island of Praslin, the scene of a recent similar attack. The couple were were in the second week of their honeymoon and had been due to fly home on Sunday, he added.

"We discovered that the British citizen was badly injured on the hips and the arms. He was assisted medically but unfortunately he could not make it," he said.
