I didn't know him from Pobol Y Cwm, but he was marvelous as Fatty Lewis in Twin Town, one of the last lines in that film, "He was a good old boy was Fatty!", could probably have applied to Huw Ceredig as well, a sad loss.I didn't know him from Pobol Y Cwm, but he was marvelous as Fatty Lewis in Twin Town, one of the last lines in that film, "He was a good old boy was Fatty!", could probably have applied to Huw Ceredig as well, a sad loss.
Paul Ryan, Liverpool,Paul Ryan, Liverpool,
I was very fortunate to have been taught by Huw Ceredig during his brief teaching spell at Primary. He encouraged us all to embrace drama and used it to great advantage in bringing the shy ones out of their shells. He earned enormous repect and affection due to his warm enthusiastic and motivational character. He taught us that we only get out of life what we put in and we should always respect others. He introduced regular sporting activities into the school and he used team games to reinforce his matra that we are only as good as those around us and we should also contribute to our best ability so that we don't let others down. He introduced me to the great sport of rugby and I will always be grateful for that. We were avid football fans until converted to the greater sport through gentle but enthusiastic persuasion. A fantastic human being and one who was as proud as anyone of being Welsh. I am so glad he chose a brief spell in teaching at my school. When meeting!
