Police said he had gone outside to speak to a group of youngsters when he was attacked. He was taken to hospital but died soon afterwards. Police said he went to speak to a group of up to 12 youngsters in the foyer of the flats where he lived when he was attacked. He died later in hospital.

Forensic search
He went out to ask them to keep the noise down, as it was late and he had to be at work the next day, when he was stabbed by at least one of the youths. No weapon has been found.

It is reported the victim had been disturbed by a group of up to 12 youths making loud noises in the entrance to the block of flats where he lived. Black bin liners have been used by the police to cover the windows to what is thought to be the stairwell where the victim was stabbed.
