A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed near the Notting Hill Carnival in west London. Police say the Notting Hill Carnival has been peaceful, with 170 arrests so far during the two-day event.
Three people have been arrested after a man was found with what is believed to be stab wounds to the abdomen and hand. Officers are investigating the stabbing of man, thought to be in his 20s, near the west London carnival on Monday.
The incident happened on Ladbroke Grove at the junction with Oxford Gardens at about 18:00 BST on Monday. He is said to be in a serious condition in hospital. Three people have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
The incident mars the second day of the carnival where a record 6,500 police officers were on duty. Some 170 people were arrested over the two-day event. More than a million people were expected to attend the carnival, billed as Europe's biggest street festival.
