Man charged under Terrorism Act

A 27-year-old man has been charged with five counts under the Terrorism Act 2000, West Midlands Police have said.

The charges are in connection with possessing extremist material, the force added.

The man is serving a custodial sentence for fraud which is unrelated to terrorism.

The man, who remains a serving prisoner, is due to appear before Westminster magistrates in London on Saturday morning.
