Lebanese troops have been battling an Islamic militant group following an attack on soldiers at a Palestinian refugee camp near the city of Tripoli. At least 37 people have been killed in a day of fighting between Lebanese troops and gunmen from a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon.
At least 10 members of the Fatah Islam group were reportedly killed in a day of fighting against the Lebanese army. Some 14 fighters from the radical Fatah Islam group and 22 Lebanese soldiers died in intense battles, reports said.
