A 49-year-old man from Truro has been arrested following an explosion that ripped through a house in Cornwall. | |

Engineers from Western Power dug up the pavement to cut off the electricity to the house after the roof and one side of the building was blown off. | |
Neighbouring homes were evacuated. A spokesman said no-one was hurt. | |
Station manager for Cornwall Fire and Rescue in the east of Cornwall, Lee Griffin, said: "The front of the building had exploded into the front of the garden. There were quite dramatic scenes. | |
"We had to evacuate people from the immediate properties around. Once the fire was under control people were allowed back into their homes.
