East Antrim assembly member Oliver McMullan, said the Cranny river had overflowed in Carnlough causing a number of problems.
"The weather was so high last night it came into the local pub through the dining area," he added.
"The heating system could be destroyed, the water was right on top of the heating boiler.
"There were cars in the car park in High Street where the water was inside the cars, right over the gear stick."
