<strong>The unexpected Indian summer might have delayed the start of the new season across much of the UK, but the colours are now changing in earnest from greens to golds.</strong>

Each autumn for the past few years, the head gardener at Stourhead in Wiltshire - Alan Power - has spoken to Radio 4's <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006qskw" >PM</a>. This year is no exception, but with the added bonus of photographs that show off the autumnal colours there.
