Police are investigating reports a crash between two vehicles in Cambridgeshire may have involved a gun being fired. Police investigating a crash in Cambridgeshire are looking for a gunman who fled the scene.
One of the vehicles left the road and flipped on to its roof on the A47 between Guyhirn and Wisbech in the early hours of Saturday. A man was treated in hospital for minor injuries after his car flipped and went into a ditch, on the A47 between Guyhirn and Wisbech.
One man was taken to hospital in King's Lynn with serious but not life threatening injuries. Officers are investigating reports a gun was fired from another vehicle around the time of the incident, in the early hours of Saturday.
The road was closed until Saturday afternoon. Police are searching for the occupant of the other vehicle.
Cambridgeshire Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward. A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman confirmed a "firearm" had been involved and said officers were looking for a suspect in connection with the incident.
She said she could not comment further.
The driver was taken to hospital in King's Lynn but has since discharged himself.
Police closed the road for nearly 12 hours on Saturday as an investigation was launched.
