Det Sgt Tony McGuire said the shooting incident had been "a terrifying experience for all concerned".
He added: "Those involved used firearms to attempt to settle a dispute.
"This was a lengthy and complicated investigation, however with the support of the community and hard work of the officers involved these men are now facing time in prison."
The firearm has not yet been recovered and the identity of the third man is still unknown.
