The M4 is running normally again after an earlier serious crash between a lorry and a crane near Cardiff closed two lanes. A lorry driver has died after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a crash with a mobile crane on the M4 near Cardiff, say police.
Tailbacks of up to 10 miles built up on the westbound carriageway between junction 30 Cardiff Gate and junction 32 Coryton. The 43-year-old man from Lincolnshire was pronounced dead at the scene between junctions 30 Cardiff Gate and 32 Coryton.
Traffic Wales said at 12:05 GMT all lanes have reopened. The crane driver was taken to hospital in Cardiff, suffering from shock.
One person has been taken to hospital in Cardiff but there are no further details of their injuries. Two lanes of the westbound carriageway were closed for about five hours following the accident at 06:51 GMT.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash at 06:51 GMT on Wednesday. The M4 is operating normally again, but there were tailbacks of up to 10 miles at the peak of Wednesday morning's rush hour.

The crane was on the back of another lorry, emergency services said.
