The hospital is currently the subject of an ongoing public inquiry following reports of appalling levels of care and high death rates there. A public inquiry is being held into failings at Stafford Hospital which was criticised for poor levels of care.
The inquiry is looking into monitoring by regulatory bodies after a higher-than-expected number of deaths occurred between 2005 and 2008.
