A 60-year-old man has died and the youngest of his 11 children is missing after a canoeing accident. The search for a boy who went missing after a canoeing accident has been called off for the night.
Police named them as Joe McTaggart and his 12-year-old son, Daniel. A woman found their empty boat on the west side of Lewis on Monday afternoon. Daniel McTaggart, 12, has not been seen since Monday afternoon. His 60-year-old father, Joe, was rescued from the sea but later died in hospital.
