Thousands of people had to be evacuated from Birmingham New Street after a fire alarm was "maliciously" set off, British Transport Police (BTP) said. | |
Officers from West Midlands Police and BTP were forced to evacuate trains and people in the station area at 19:54 GMT on Wednesday. | |
The police said no-one was injured and that passengers and staff were allowed back into the station at 20.32 GMT. | |
BTP said an investigation was under way. |
