Arrest after pedestrian dies in Dwygyfylchi Arrest after cyclist dies in Dwygyfylchi 'hit and run'

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a woman died on a Conwy county road. North Wales Police are treating a fatal collision in Dwygyfylchi, Conwy, as a hit and run involving a car and cyclist.
The incident happened on Glanrafon Road in Dwygyfylchi just before 06:00 GMT on Friday. The woman who died was found in on Glanrafon Road just after 05:50 GMT on Friday.
The Welsh Ambulance Service said the pedestrian in her 50s was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with serious head and facial injuries. A police spokesperson said they would not be releasing her identity but she is believed to be a 47-year-old local woman.
North Wales Police said their investigations were at an early stage. A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The woman's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by a family liaison officer.
