Shots fired in north Belfast's Antrim Road area Shot fired at man in north Belfast's New Lodge area

Part of north Belfast has been closed off by police after shots were fired on Monday morning. A shot was fired at a man in the New Lodge area of north Belfast on Monday morning, police have said.
The Antrim Road has been closed between Carlisle Circus and Pimm Street while police investigate the incident which took place shortly after 07:00 GMT. The attack happened just after 07:00 GMT on Stratheden Street. The man was not injured.
There are no reports of anyone being injured. One man has been arrested and a vehicle seized. The Antrim Road from Carlisle Circus to Pim Street remains closed.
Police have asked for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to contact them. Detective Chief Inspector Alan Little said the attack was "an extremely reckless act in a heavily populated area".
He added: "We are investigating a number of lines of enquiry and I am keen to hear from anyone who was near the Antrim Road/Stratheden Street area this morning and who may be able to assist."
