Newtownards pedestrian killed in single car accident

A 59-year-old woman has died following a car accident in County Down.

She was Newtownards woman Moira Rankin.

She was walking along the Bangor Road in Newtownards at about 13:00 GMT on Monday when she was struck by a car.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
