Two people have died in what police have described as a serious collision in north Cumbria. Two people have died in a three-vehicle crash in north Cumbria.

The A7 remains closed between Longtown and Junction 44 of the M6. Another person was seriously injured in the crash at about 07:30 GMT. The driver of the minibus, a 56-year-old man from Newcastleton in the Scottish Borders, suffered serious injuries in the crash at 07:30 GMT.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: "Tragically, two people have been confirmed dead at the scene. Other passengers in the minibus, and the female driver of the Ford Focus, suffered a range of injuries, none of them believed to be serious.
"One has been confirmed as seriously injured and other people have sustained a range of injuries." The A7 remains closed between Longtown and Junction 44 of the M6.
