Version 0 of 1.

The fiancee of a man facing trial over last summer's alleged attempted London bombings has appeared in court accused of helping him evade arrest.

Fardosa Abdullah, who was 17 at the time of the alleged attempt on 21 July, is accused of assisting and failing to disclose information about Yassin Omar.

Ms Abdullah, of Finchley, north London, was remanded in custody to appear before Woolwich Crown Court on Friday.

Mr Omar is one of six men due to stand trial over the alleged bombing attempt.

Wearing a white sweatshirt, Ms Abdullah - a British subject who came to the UK as an asylum seeker from Somalia in 1998 - spoke only to confirm her name and address at the 30-minute hearing at City of Westminster magistrates court.

She was refused bail by District Judge Timothy Workman.

'Conspiracy to murder'

It is alleged that between 20 and 28 July she "knowing or believing that Yassin Omar, 24, had committed offences of attempted murder, conspiracy to murder, and offences contrary to the Explosives Substances Act 1883" assisted him in evading arrest.

The second charge alleges during the same period she was in possession of details which "might be of material assistance" in apprehending, prosecuting, or convicting Mr Omar over "the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism" and "failed to disclose it as soon as reasonably practicable".

Six men, all from the London area, are due to stand trial at Woolwich Crown Court next week charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosions on 21 July 2005.

The other five are: Adel Yahya, 23, Hussain Osman, 27, Manfo Asiedu, 32, Ramzi Mohammed, 23 and Muktar Said Ibrahim, 27.
