Person hit by police car in Tavistock Woman crushed against police car in Tavistock

A person has been seriously injured after they were struck by a police vehicle in Devon. A woman has serious leg injuries from being crushed against a police car in Devon.
Officers were attending a road accident when another vehicle hit their parked vehicle and knocked it into the person, Devon and Cornwall Police said. The woman, from the Plymouth area, was pinned to the stationary police car by a Volvo on Watts Road in Tavistock, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
The incident happened in Watts Road, in Tavistock, at about 0630 BST on Sunday. Officers were attending a separate accident when the incident happened.
The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. Devon and Cornwall Police would not comment further. The injury has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission and the full circumstances are being investigated.
