Grease show picks Danny and Susan Lee becomes Joseph in TV victory

Danny Bayne and Susan McFadden have been crowned the winners of ITV1's talent show Grease Is The Word. Performer Lee Mead has landed the lead role in West End musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat after winning a BBC One talent show.
The duo, who were picked by a public phone vote, win the lead roles of Danny and Sandy in a West End production of Grease starting on 8 August. Mead came top of a public vote on Any Dream Will Do, fending off competition from fellow finalist Keith Jack.
The victory means he will star in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical at the Adelphi Theatre from 17 July.
The 25-year-old, from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, has already played the Pharaoh in a touring production of Joseph.
Mead is one of three performers who won West End roles on Saturday night.
