A 29-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to a man in north Belfast. A 29-year-old Newtownabbey man has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent during an attack in north Belfast.
The injured man remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital. Johnathon Rossborough, of Armoy Gardens, is charged with the assault on a man at Alliance Parade in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The accused is also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm and two further counts of common assault. He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday. The victim, a man in his twenties, suffered serious head injuries and is in a serious, but stable, condition in hospital.
The charges are in connection with an assault on a man in Alliance Parade in the early hours of Sunday morning. Mr Rossborough was remanded in custody.
He is also accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm to a second man and faces two further counts of common assault against another two alleged victims.
Belfast Magistrates' Court heard he is expected to apply for bail next week.
The accused was remanded in custody to appear again by video link on 9 January.
