A search is under way for a cyclist who is believed to be missing from his home near Ballymena, County Antrim. Police have said they are very concerned about a missing County Antrim cyclist, but are hopeful he is still alive.

Police said the search is currently ongoing. Det Insp Bob Blemmings, who is leading the search for Mr Campbell, said it would be very unusual for him not to contact his family
The Irish coastguard helicopter has also been involved in the search operation but has since returned to base. He said police were following a number of lines of inquiry.

The detective said that Mr Campbell would often cover about 20 miles on his bike rides so the search for him is covering a wide area, including Kells, Ballymena, Clough, Ahoghill and Cullybackey.
He appealed for farmers in the area to check outbuildings and laneways.
